Whatever you may think about Michael Jackson, there’s absolutely no denying the man’s genius. His Thriller album has sold more than 50m worldwide- the highest selling album ever and in total over 200m homes have a Michael Jackson album (that’s not counting the pirate and bootleg copies). No other individual has done more for pop music.

He was the first cross-over black artist, equally loved by all and the first and possibly only Motown legend to break out of that mould and emulate success in the pop world. Michael Jackson did this by fusing r ‘n b and soul with rock and the results were possibly two of the best music albums ever produced by any artist- Off The Wall and Thriller. If you don’ have a copy- get them. Now.

Having also infused his music and live performances with the most dazzling dance moves ever seen on a stage- he sealed his fate as a bona fide legend and today, that’s where his star is destined to shine forever. Here at the directoryoflondon.net, we felt we should put something up for our readers, so that you could all see how this once in a lifetime entertainer’s life transformed throughout the years- from being the precocious six year old singing sensation with the Jackson 5 to the military garb wearing sensation he bacame in his later years. Watch the video. It’s fascinating.
