Cocktail Making Classes

Cocktail Making Classes

I have to say that, without sounding like a total alcoholic, a good cocktail, particularly on a hot day, is one of my favourite, favourite things. When a mojito is well made it can be refreshing, enlivening and possibly even enlightening (if you have enough of them..). Obviously a bad one is like drinking slightly sugary pond water but probably the less said about that the better. It’s in the quest of this alcoholic perfection that I decided to do some research into cocktail making classes. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Tom Cruise, it turns out there’s actually a huge range of places you can go to pick up this often badly displayed skill.  There’s cocktail making classes for hen nights or stag dos, corporate events or birthdays, individual lessons or for couples it’s all out there. Here’s a small selection.

The company www.chillisauce.co.uk runs cocktail making classes aimed at corporate groups including designing your own cocktails for £65 per person. The event can include competitions and canapés to enjoy with the cocktails.  For a more informal group party session, for £39 per person you can turn to www.liquidcircle.co.uk’s cocktail making classes. These include ingredients to make 3-4 cocktails, light snacks, equipment hire (!), tuition, competitions and prizes and take place in bars across London where you can stay on after to enjoy the after effects of the cocktails. To include the experience in a hen weekend, www.gohen.co.uk organise classes in London bars specifically target at hen parties that include bubbly on arrival, expert tuition ad some light snacks.

For something a little more sedate, www.thecookeryschool.org runs cocktail heaven courses at the weekends which are followed by a hot buffet and some of the favourite dishes created at the school for £50 a head.

All you need now is the black outfit and the smug smile.
